Celebrate the 65th anniversary of the movie musical with the orchestra performing the score live 

The St. Louis Symphony will breathe new life into “Singin’ in the Rain” during two events at Powell Hall. The orchestra will play the score live while audiences enjoy the award-winning on-screen performances of Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds.

Singin’ in the Rain: Saturday, May 13, 7pm; Sunday, May 14, 3pm

Reynolds was a break-out star of the 1952 musical, which launched her legendary career as an actress, singer, and dancer. The orchestra’s “Singin’ in the Rain” performance will be a fitting tribute to the late Hollywood icon.

Topping the American Film Institute’s list of 25 Greatest Movie Musicals of all-time, this masterpiece will take audiences on a captivating journey and showcase the orchestra through musical storytelling.
