LGBT Center of St. Louis Receives Combined 3K Donations

VVCheck

ST. LOUIS – The LGBT Center of St. Louis continues to thrive in its new location in The Grove. A new awning has been placed on the location at 4337 Manchester Ave., and the Center recently hosted performances of [insert name here]’s production of the Broadway hit “Avenue Q.”

Now The Center has been blessed with not one, but two generous donations from two area LGBT entities, totaling over $3,000 to help The Center’s continued growth and aid to the LGBT community of St. Louis.

The first comes from Vital VOICE Omnimedia who raised money during the month of December, simply by having people ‘like’ their Facebook page. For every person who liked the page, $1 was donated to The Center.

The second donation came from Just John’s bar, also in The Grove. The annual Bartender Review, an amateur drag show featuring bartenders from local area bars in ‘booger drag’ had its profits donated.

Both groups presented their checks to the LGBT Center in late January.
