LOUIS – The Lesbian Gay Bi Transgender Community Center of Metropolitan St. Louis has announced its new Board of Directors, appointed to revitalize its plan to grow and develop into the nucleus of LGBT organizations in St. Louis. Through service, outreach, and education, the goal of The Center is to become the heart beat of the community.

Hawaii State House Approves Landmark Bill

HONOLULU – Equality Hawaii, the state’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, and the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization, today applauded the Hawaii State House for passing SB 232 SD1 HD1 by a 31-19 vote.  The bill provides that equal rights and responsibilities of married couples in Hawaii be afforded to thousands of non-married couples in the state – including same-sex couples.

St. Louis EFA Awarded AIDS United Grant

ST. LOUIS, MO – Hundreds of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in St. Louis will now receive local, high quality care, thanks to the Feb. 4 grant awarded to Saint Louis Effort for AIDS (EFA) by AIDS United.   EFA’s grant is one of 10 awards granted to communities across the country by AIDS United to support its Access to Care (A2C) initiative. The awards are all supported by a federal grant to AIDS United from the Social Innovation Fund (SIF) to improve the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.
