WASHINGTON –Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese issued the following statement on the historic Sept. 20th end of the discriminatory “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) law that has, for the past 17-years, prohibited qualified gay and lesbian Americans from serving in the armed forces.

Prop 8 Trial Video Unsealed

SAN FRANCISCO – Video tapes documenting the Perry v. Brown legal challenge to Proposition 8 will be made available to the public, Federal District Court Judge James Ware ruled, Sept. 19. Proponents of Proposition 8 argued that tapes of the trial, which resulted in a 2010 ruling that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional, should be kept secret.

“Out at The Ballpark” Held at Busch Stadium

The St. Louis Cardinals rallied for a 6-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds at the second annual Out at the Ballpark at Busch Stadium, Sept. 3. A portion of ticket sales benefited Pride St. Louis and PROMO, who partnered to present the historic afternoon of baseball, community and family fun.

ST. LOUIS – Lifestyle expert James Farmer will be in St. Louis to sign copies of his first book, A Time to Plant, published by Gibbs Smith. The author will be signing on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 2-4 p.m. at Left Bank Books in the CWE.  A portion of the proceeds of sales will go to Food Outreach.
