In June, people around the world, including Bar: PM, will participate in The Longest Day, an awareness and fundraising event about hope and dedicated to all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Whether it’s choosing a favorite activity, hosting an event or joining a team, participants will ignite a global conversation about Alzheimer’s disease, the brain and other dementias as part of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month in June.

Last year, Longest Day Team Captain Laura Rick reached out to Bar: PM co-owner James Pence about hosting a drag show to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Rick lost her grandmother, Rose, 17 years ago to her battle with Alzheimer’s. Pence also knew the devastation of the disease as he had lost his grandfather, Raleigh. “Alzheimer’s A Drag” was born.

Now, in its second year, the event will take place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at Bar: PM located at 7109 S. Broadway, St. Louis, MO.

Featured queens include Karma T. Cassidy, Adria Andrews, Jade Sinclair, Mera Mangle, and Dieta Pepsi.

The event will include food, live music and more.
